Amazing how massive this is going to be. You can really get a sense of the scale by how much it dwarfs that old 4 story tenement building in front of it.

I agree, Vortex.

A whole “new city” is rising.

Its a whole new WTC complex in terms of sq footage. A new city indeed. Whole area is full of jackhammers and truck noise.

Considering this building will have an elevation of only about 50 feet less than 1 WTC (including the 20+ feet it gains from elevation), it’s going to look absolutely massive from the NJ side.
I mean the ESB already makes quite an impact, yet it’s less massive (although by no means skinny) and sits about 1.2 miles east from the Hudson.

This will be a mile closer and between 25% to 50% wider at certain points! Mind blown*

I concur!

First thing that came to mind seeing that diagram. Its quite incredible how dominant the ESB appears from Hillside or Orange or Newark NJ. Even some 20 miles away on I-78, it, along with 432 define the midtown skyline. So for a new contender, which is a monolith, it will probably overpower the ESB and a tower that possibly IMO, next to Vanderbilt, could be seen as the 21st Century equivalent of the ESB in terms of how powerful it will look.

Exactly. This is going to completely redefine the midtown skyline, moreso than the 57 St supertalls. It’s much more massive and where it’s positioned geographically will be more impacting.

I’d say 57 St extends the dominance and grandeur of midtown, but this structure completely redefines the skyline itself, imo.

Awesome updates as usual, Robert.
Wish I had a reason to get into the city more frequently and snap some pics but it’s hard without actually working there.

This looks to be 8 floors now?

Thanks, Vortex. It is about 8 stories!

Awesome!! As soon as this starts poking through its going to make an impact, due to its mass alone.

I know it is a shitty reference but everytime i see the design of this tower I can’t help but think of Stark tower in the avengers. Please forgive me hahah. But I think that it’s massive impact on the skyline will be just the same :stuck_out_tongue:
