Yes, nice skyline view. Take those few tall skinny buildings, crowed them together, add about 50 more: and you have Hong Kong. Thank goodness for our NYC Zoning regulations for set-backs, and ‘air right’ requirements; that was some brilliant foresight by those city planners of yesteryear.

Air circulation, sunlight on the streets and inside buildings; and equally important is that great looking skyline we see here as a direct result of those same zoning regulations.

Imagine if they hadn’t repealed the 1916 zoning regulation in 1961 that paved the way for the massive box buildings.
