This is about 1.5 miles west of downtown White Plains. It will be interesting to see what happens here.

This is about 2.5 miles southeast of downtown White Plains. It will be interesting to see if another hotel operator takes over or if it’s converted to housing.

The platinum mile will either get rediscovered as an elite office hub in the post-covid age (last I checked the likes of IBM, Mastercard and Pepsico are still there… old money but still prestigious), or it will continue along on its trend of conversion to residential.

No way in hell will the Platinum Mile ever be rediscovered as an “elite office hub”. That era ended 20 years ago. Covid probably accelerated the conversion of second-tier suburban office corridors to residential/retail/hotel uses.

I’d like to see Mastercard and IBM move their HQs back to Manhattan. Pepsico isn’t going anywhere considering how incredible their sculpture garden/campus is.

This is just east of White Plains, the site of a fire on December 4, 1980 in which 26 people perished.

Thank God! The Galleria is an utter anathema.
