I’m a little tardy, but we have a tradition of these:
2018
2019
2020
For me, in 2021, I am looking forward to 66 Hudson Blvd (The Spiral) being completed with the landscaping in place, are they still putting trees and stuff on it? I know I’ll be disappointed based on the renders, but I am curious.
I’m most looking forward to foot traffic on the streets and in the subways coming back to at least 75-80% what it was pre-pandemic in the main/core parts of the city…that is my hope for Fall
I second streetscaper’s sentiment! Were I to limit my hopes for the year to construction, though, then I am looking forward to the completion of the the performing arts center at the WTC. In the realms of dreams, I hope to hear that the MTA receives the capital funds to start phase two of the SAS.
All those Naftali projects on the UES being completed. Maybe the most consequential group of traditionalist new construction since WWII. 100 Claremont and whether it defaces the once timeless skyline of Morningside Heights.
Also looking forward to plans for 1841 Broadway. Will it pair up with 15CPW to give the UWS a monumental gateway or will it be a bland box?
so i’m not gonna say 2WTC, but i would like to see the following completed in 2021: 1) the greek church at WTC and 2) the bean at 56 leonard - those are not too much to ask for, are they?!
