The Portal Bridge opening and the arrival of the Palisades TBMs with subsequent tunneling work beginning. These two milestones are both huge in the important restoration and upgrade of the region’s passenger rail network.

I am looking forward to the “reinventing construction”. It has been eight years since the McKinsey Global Institute did this in-depth study on the current status of the Construction Industry: the report has now taken on new relevance in the wake of the emergence of AI in the AEC industry.
We are at a pivotal moment in the inevitable ‘disruption’ of the way our built environment is created: AI is now hastening that disruption and I (and many) see this as a change for the greater good.
This is something we ALL have to look forward to - you can start by doing a general reading of “Reinventing Construction: A route to higher productivity". Happy New Year.
BTW. Here is a link to my current reading list on the subject. -
Looking forward to the Ozempic pill!
