Can someone be a dear and take a “peek” behind the paywall to let us know if the developer intends to renovate or demolish and replace 220 W 42nd Street?

The developer, Yellowstone, filed for a hotel conversion of the existing building. The building isn’t landmarked but is on the NRHP, which unfortunately doesnt stop it from being demolished, but Yellowstone is intentionally trying to save the 1913 building with the conversion. :+1:t2:

Cladding progress at One Times Square, I believe the opposite side is also at the same level. It will be extremely nice once this is done because the giant construction shed around the entire perimeter will be gone and will free up sidewalk space again…

Love it but compared to what it was in previous lives it now looks like the building has put on the symbiote suit. Which is fine. Spider-Man is my fav Marvel superhero so.

As Yakov Smirnoff used to say, “In Russia, we don’t eat this part of the dog.”

I found it interesting that they put windows on portions that will be covered by LED screens.

I really regret not going to see the building when the old Allied Chemical facade was visible. Not really liking the new glass facade.

Cladding has reached the top of One TS and they started to install the glass on the glass elevator attachment. At the top, theyre fairly large panels of glass.
