I wonder how many structures in that frame still stand today…other than the Brooklyn Bridge
the churches and couple of blocks of tenements here and there. A couple of federalist era buildings too.
Aside from St. Paul’s Chapel, there might be a couple buildings in the far background on the right or possibly a handful on the far left of frame. The area from Beekman Street (the street left of the short mansard roof building and the thin shot tower) up to the Brooklyn Bridge was completely wiped out though, whether it be for Water Street’s widening in 1960 or for that Title Project in 1966 that gave us Pace Plaza and Southbridge Towers.

Does anyone have interior pictures of these two buildings, namely from after they were renovated?
Someone finally made a good video about the Singer Tower! It is mostly based on the book by Otto Semsch, probably the best source available, although it lacks some interesting facts that are not in the book. It’s a wonderful and worthy video anyway that will make a lot of people know that that beauty once existed and got replaced by that other…thing.
