The photo posted above by ‘City Streets’ is how I - and the public in genera - view most buildings in NYC: the '“Curb Appeal” . This beautifully detailed facade has got great curb appeal due to the rich color, texture to the stone, and the curved and convex form of the windows. When I - and the average passer by - in NYC look up at our architectural surroundings we can be delighted by artful appearance of this building: this one wins the beauty contest in this neighborhood for sure. IMHO…
Nice photo - perfect perspective. Commentary below reference this ‘curbside view’ type of photo. Thanks for posting.

I saw this tractor hauling a huge section of the building facade: he was turning on Broadway at Houston Street; I knew that trucks destination exactly. I am sure only another YIMBY forum member would have recognized that payload, and known exactly where it was headed. It is only a ‘niche’ interest I know; but an interest I truly enjoy.
I work downtown and always see the prefab windows for 130 William and for 25 Park Row. All the trucks seem to come from Canada. Amazing to see!
Why the hell haven’t they replaced that missing window at 3 WTC yet? It’s been open over a year. It looks ridiculous🙄
top occupied floor has slightly different panes iirc, maybe they don’t have any spares and considering that nobody is moving there anytime soon it’s of little priority
that looks awesome
This will age well. The stone panels already look slightly aged with the NYC airborne soot that sets in on all ‘porous’ stone facades after a few years. I do hope they fill those large gaps between the stone facade window panel: most likely they will.
Likewise! My friends think its silly I know so much about buildings under construction but its just a hobby I really like for me, and I see building facades being driven around the city all the time and I get giddy knowing where its going.
Im on the same boat as you!
Great pics. Doesn’t look as spooky as I thought it would.
Facade looks great from here as well but the crown is so disappointing. Doesn’t make justice to the iconic 70 pine in the background.
