NEW YORK I Wall Street Tower (130 William St) I 800 FT I 61 FLOORS

That’s a nice vantage point. Where was the shot taken from?

I was curious too and tried to recreate the perspective on Maps 3D

Looks like its an apartment block. They must of installed a camera up there

Might be 140 Cadman Plaza West.

I wonder if this is going to turn out looking haunted or spooky. It kinda does at the moment from the facade that has gone up.

It does look a bit dead here (for lack of a better term). I had hoped the window frames would be more gold than copper/dark bronze to brighten the facade, but alas.

That was also my concern. I’ve asked a worker at the site and he said the facade is not yet in the final shape and they are going to hilite somehow the bronze items.

The overall color of the facade looks a bit ‘blotchy’ now; but will most likely weather into a nice even color tone. The dark facade definitely needs some sparkle and contrast to liven up the overall appearance: those polished bronze window frames will be a much needed finishing touch. This is a very attractive architectural design - on paper or as rendered - so I hope the physical results looks as good when construction is completed.

I have full confidence that this tower will look great. This is one of my favorite NYC projects. I love the dark, industrial, gothic (and Gotham!) look of this tower. In a city that’s increasingly full of blue glass towers that could be built anywhere in the world, this building is a refreshing change. I hope that 130 William, 111 West 57th, and 45 Broad signify a trend away from all-glass facades and toward a more detailed, creative, and historical architectural style: a style that screams “Only in New York!”

They’ve started installing the upside-down-arch façade panels where balconies start.

I wouldn’t mind if the Park Lane were to be replaced by a tower like this.

The large windows mean that once people move in, at night it should be fairly well lit compared to the average building. And while I do like this building, from a distance it has this ugly 60s aesthetic to it right now.
