Much better, before the renovation this side of the mall was as inviting as the Amsterdam Ave side of Lincoln Center.

Pretty much done from the outside. I have yet to see any Wells Fargo signage though, I do remember seeing an image of a wells fargo sign being hoisted though so I’m not sure where it went.

501 10th Avenue

The fate of the building remains unclear. According to the Commercial Observer, the seven-story industrial property was listed for sale in March 2024, with expectations it could fetch around $250 million. The building’s current owners, Mitchell Rutter’s Essex Capital and developer Jacob Frydman, did not respond to a request for comment.

Essex Capital’s website notes that the firm retains 250,000 square feet of unused development rights on the site. That potential, along with its location just blocks from Hudson Yards, places it at the center of a rapidly transforming West Side.

Within the next decade, the area is expected to undergo significant changes. The building sits next to part of the Port Authority Bus Terminal expansion and in front of the planned extension of Bella Abzug Park over the Amtrak lines. Its prime location makes it an attractive site for redevelopment.

452 West 36th Street

This building was renovated in the past year or so.

The building was painted white, and the historic cornice was sadly removed.

We also are in pre-development entitlement work on Site K, which we were awarded in December. That will be 1,300 units of residential and potentially a 400-key hotel as well, and that’s right across the street from the Javits Center and immediately north of our site at 3 Hudson Boulevard. So we have a lot going on on the development front right now.

Finally a sane plan for this site

I hope Site K will be a Supertall

Hold up, this is this, right? Next to 3 Hudson Boulevard, that was unveiled in December.

That would be a great addition, hopefully didn’t get altered since.
