Yes its the NY post, but still its relevant to the topic here. I wonder what will happen given their input is only “advisory” in nature and how much influence they actually have.
Casinos are nothing but wealth redistribution to the ultra-wealthy and magnets for crime. It would be a shame for HY to get that kind of stain on it so early in its history. If the city wants the tax revenue so bad, they should just build one or two in Times Square and call it a day. Nobody is going to want to share a residential or trophy office area with this kind of neighbor
They absolutely do
The music is very accurate to the vibe. Yes!
I do wonder if they would allow smoking inside of the casino? The smoking, plus no clocks is needed! And if you’ve seen casinos, good luck finding a clock. Time ceases to exist!
Who owns this property north of the Western Yards? Could an RFP be issued on this site calling for housing to be built here.

That’s another state owned site that is connected to Site K.
The property is related to Site K, I thought Site K was just 418 11th Avenue. So this site could be interesting in relation to the “City of Yes” act.
Site K is just 418 11th Ave, I meant connected in that they are both state owned sites owned by the convention center/ESD. What ends up being built there is up to the state, the city of yes amendment has no bearing on the marshalling yards block/lot just as it had no bearing on Site K, since it was the states call to build residential on the site as well as the state who approved the residential FAR cap.
Construction is not due to start for 3 or 4 years (or later) and not next year as mentioned in the article. This is a government project and they take a long time.
In the SSP Topic on 418 11th Avenue, two older PDF files were posted about the ventilation shaft and the possible plaza.
