Starting to think 50HY will edge out 66 from a quality perspective. Both are boxes, but I really like the facade treatment better on 50. Kinda reminds me of 3 Sutton where large panels of glass are broken up by stone sections.
So far it looks that way, but I wonder if the ‘hanging gardens’ effect on Spiral will even this disparity out a bit
50 and 66 might end up looking shorter than the Manhattan West towers because Manhattan West is built on a platform like the Railyard towers.

Always happy to see the “little guy” not taking shit from the 1%.
I dislike street vendors. They make the city look junky. You don’t see them in Mayfair or on the Avenue Montaigne.
I bet they make their food cheaper and with more care than the restaurants in the Mall… if there are any left up there.
They should sell their awful Spiderman “art” in Queens or The Bronx.
Every great city in the world has street vendors. It is part of what makes a city a city. What would NYC be without chestnuts in the winter, pretzels and hot dogs in the summer followed with Italian ices and on and on. That is part of the fabric of the street, the enjoyment of walking around the city, spending hours meandering, enjoying the sites. It is these experiences that makes NYC so special. I suggest you stay in Scarsdale.
Oh, I forgot, LOL.
I’ve lived in Manhattan for many years and have worked there for over twenty. Street vendors by Times Sq and MSG are fine, despite the fact that their ‘hot dogs’ and pretzels are filthy and taste disgusting. We don’t need them on 57th and 5th, let alone the illegal vendors selling fake bags and junk.
Further, those carts exploit the masses with their unsanitary, unhealthy food. Poor people generally have lousy diets, and they would be better off eating carrots and apples, than those vile “hot dogs” and pretzels.
I will never forget the time I bought a hotdog at the World Trade Center. The most terrible hotdog I’ve ever had
TK, I love your content on here but this is by far your best comment lol
I want to see ‘licensed’ food vendors on the streets protected from all the unlicensed (beach cooler) ladies selling food/soda on almost every street corner north of 59th street; and in many locations downtown. How can these legit operators pay taxes, pay license fees, and operate a quality operation when trying to compete with the ‘underground’ operators selling food on the streets for a fraction of the price.
