The unique massings you note also are value engineered. The floor area of the main one surely is equal to the air rights they purchased from the Art Students’ League whose building sits directly below the main massing/cantilever. Great engineering. But does it work architecturally? I’m not sure it does. Again I’ll wait and see.

A bit of a tangent, but we were discussing different types of city planning styles in Urbanism class and I honestly wish NYC had more of a Dynamic, monumental city plan as opposed to the grid.

Is there still a restaurant on top of Eagle Rock? I got turned away for wearing sneakers at lunch. For you hikers out there who want to eat there, keep your oxfords in your trunk.
There is. Its the Highlawn Pavilion. Its a really good place for sea food. Its expensive though. If I ever propose to my gf, I’d want the wedding to be there. But I’m not ready for that yet. I quite enjoy my freedom and am not ready for 25 to life!
