Hard to believe this building is actually 780 feet, which is taller than the 7 WTC, One Worldwide Plaza, Time Warner Center and many other notable skyscrapers around the city. Its been overshadowed by everything else at HY.

Pic by me. Taken today.
55 Hudson can be seen as the smallest tower in the center of the HY complex.

Love how 800 feet is considered small in this city.
The year I was born (1970) saw two 800>'-ers in MidTown: AFKA’s PanAm and RCA.
That’s. It.
Its first 900’>-er (Citigroup/601 Lex) didn’t open for business until 1977.
Let that sink in.
Its interesting because of the scale. Like with 55 Hudson, it being in the forefront doesn’t show its true height “feel”. It really doesn’t look or feel like its 800 ft from a distance. That alone, 800 ft, would be a new tallest in many places but just look at the scale of it. Also, 1 MW is so bulky in itself. I think this angle really shows 1 MW for what it is, a behemoth.
Well it looks like construction is “complete” according to Mitsui Fudosan.
The parapet glass must have had a production issue. Hopefully this can be done by the end of the year.
