NEW YORK | 50 Hudson Yards (504-522 W 34th) | 981 FT | 58 FLOORS

Nice photo!

Only in NY can a mountain of 1,000’+ towers grow in a matter of years.

I still think the original crown would’ve completed the building more, but I really like the lighting on this, turned out great and it’s really bright.

An interesting detail I noticed on my trip is that the lighting is set up on an angle like the original crown design

That’s an illusion created by the angled translucent louvers making up the parapet and the supporting structure, the louvers are also the reason the lighting looks so bright as the light is bouncing off the angled wall and then bouncing onto the louvers.

The wall that the light is bouncing off of is actually angled facing towards the sky while the original crown structure’s design would’ve angled down towards the ground.

I wonder when the construction elevator is coming down. It has already been two months since this building officially opened and there are no signs of it coming down.

The night time photos show that the upper portion of the building is still being fitted out, the lower portion walkways of the elevator have been severed from the building as those floors have already been completed and are now being occupied.

I’m so glad 3 Hudson BLVD hasn’t risen yet. This awesome view of The Spiral would be blocked

@JC_Heights Thank you for these very good pictures! Most pictures of this building I find to be rather dull, but yours are full of interesting details. :+1:t2::heart:

Related may have had to spend extra to finish the lower floors in time for Blackrock.

I wonder if that $350M loan from October was needed in order to honor their contract.
