Do you guys think there might be a film covering the shed’s cladding?
Click on my close-up of the Shed cladding to view a larger version. I took that close-up to try to answer that very question.
I see wrinkles in what looks like a light gray film. The reflections follow the wrinkles, so the film is on the outside. There’s definitely something more rigid and smooth underneath. I don’t know if there’s also a film on the inside.

Hopefully the stone facade on 15 Hudson hints at a transition to more masonry facades on the residential portion of Hudson Yards.
