The first 12 floors of the building’s facade is a variable pattern of storm-proof louvers for air intake/exhaust of mechanical equipment. The widths of the individual louvers were optimized and blended with parametric software, and their widths vary depending on the air intake volume required by the equipment behind the facade. The visual pattern is driven by performance. The vertical glass units are either shadowbox (opaque) or vision glass depending on how the space behind is occupied.
