Yeah, that actually reminds me of a thought I had the other day. I wonder where the decade between 2010-2020 stacks up with other decades in terms of overall quantity of new Manhattan buildings. I feel like it was a pretty prolific decade for construction.
I checked out the site today. It’s been practically unchanged since @rbrome’s post in July with the exception of the pile-driving equipment being moved. This one is moving pretty slowly for sure.
It’s such a tiny site. I’m sure that constrains them.
They have been drilling piers at a regular pace, They are there every day. Lots of piers which I assume they need.
all the equipment has been removed from the “pit”. Looks like concrete base in the bottom now. Should start going up soon
I’m happy to report that additional construction “materials” arrived today
work has started again. Forms are up in the basement.
Guess the two man construction team explains the slow pace of progress!!
One goes to pick up lunch and the other works…
