Union Carbide Building spire addition, from 1951. The same year the ESB recieved its spire. Also, I wonder if Foster saw this

As you hear in the video, the client thought that crown of the first building looked like an oil drill. With the final design, they thought the crown looked like a Phillips screw. Honestly not bad items to inspire for architecture
