Lower Manhattan is shown pretty well in this new clip for Ghostbusters Frozen Empire.
They also recreated the iconic shot of the skyline from the first movie with the pink beam in the sky, but with the modern skyline

I wish there would be more disasters movies set in NYC like Godzilla (1998), Armageddon (1998) or Day after tomorrow (2004). It seems like Hollywood mostly stoped doing those films in ny after 9/11 which I understand, but it has been almost 23 years since then…
Cloverfield 2008 maybe the last.

I wish they’d come to Philly! Only disaster movie I believe it’s featured in is World War Z…just the opening. The Walking Dead franchise has been taking place in Philly a lot recently, and I love that!
Yeah I saw it, also that movie with Will Smith - It was called Last man I think…This year there is new Ghostbusted movie and Civil war, both of them are set in NYC.
