It has a new name now
“If built”…
This has to be a PR stunt. Similar thing happened in Denver with a proposed supertall. A lot of press but in reality it was no where close to reality.
Denver has been trying to get to 1,000 feet for over a decade. Then comes the financing and tenant reality. Oklahoma City is going to go almost double that? No way no how. They are going to find like 1,000 uber wealthy people just to fill the residential piece.
Yah I mean if you were to bet money on this rising, you would be crazy to do so. But it will be absolutely hilarious if it does actually get built, and I for one would be rooting for it the whole way.
Those two words are doing a lot of work
They should change the height to 2012ft to represent the completion of Devon energy center.
That would look very cool and dominant to see!
I like how this headline affirmatively declares that the building is already under construction.

Financing has been secured
This is a pretty thorough article, I recommend reading.
Excited for this project. First time the tallest will be located outside of NYC or Chicago? If they don’t build taller in the meantime tha is
First time in a very long time.
Philadelphia City Hall was tallest between 1894 and 1908.
I find it amusing that people say it can be done but ask why. I ask, why not? Still though, this project has the zoning hurdles to get past. I’m sure there will be some Karen on the board who doesn’t like it.
