Temporary soccer stadium next to the vacant ballpark?
Whatever happens to the Coliseum site, it’s in an incredible location in terms of BART, OAK, and highway visibility. Pre-pandemic, I think a conference center surrounded by dense housing, shops, and offices would have been a great solution. Today, who knows? The existing proposal seems too early-stage and prone to dissolve. I think it’d be great if a developer like Westbank got their hands on it to build something dense and interesting.
At least another season for the Athletics in the Oakland Coliseum?
This is not a terrific area and would require quite a bit of attention.

End of an era
I think everyone knows the “Las Vegas A’s” is and will always be a disgrace. I hope they’re year after year the worst team in baseball. It would serve the evil ownership right.
