Two fat glass boxes, one right next to the other. The wall of reflective glass could be too overwhelming.

You guys had a blank slate, with little restrictions and a huge amount of square footage to work with. Could’ve been something iconic or at the very least, creative but no.

50HY will have stone, metal, and glass cladding. It may turn out to be the best facade of the development thus far.

I wonder if they’ll really plant the greenery seen in the renderings or if that will be another BIG disappointment. If they do, I hope they account for the high winds and freezing winter temperatures at supertall heights.

I’ve noticed renderings will have greenery in them as a way to highlight where outdoor space is, but the finished product doesn’t deliver on that. Best case, we usually get a few potted plants.

In my life I have only seen one building like this (Indianapolis). Very blah building but the draping greenery made it beautiful.
