That tower seems to have rounded corners. Also, for all we know, the diagonal portion is on the south side and therefore, not visible from that angle.
Nice photo, Tom.
Were you in NYC recently?
Yes, on February 28th
Superb!
It’s obviously over 1,000’. This, 45 Broad, and 80 South St add three more supertalls to NYC!!!
The Chinese have come up with $175 million in EB-5 money for Michael Shvo, Howard Lorber’s New Valley and Bizzi & Partners Development’s skyscraping 125 Greenwich St.
A further equity raise will soon be overseen by JLL, sources said.
With no height limits, the Rafael Vinoly-designed residential condominium tower is expected to be the tallest in the downtown area with the highest occupied floor at 990 feet.
The crown of the project will have a triplex filled with building amenities before a visually appealing tower topper is expected to bring it further into the clouds.
A sales office is expected to open after Labor Day on the 84th floor of the nearby One World Trade Center.
Both JLL and Shvo spokespersons declined comment.
While industry executives quietly admit the highest-priced sales have slowed all over town, there are pockets of good news for those buildings with views.
Beverly Hills-based Realtor, Aron Kirman, is running around the Big Apple this month with several billionaire foreigners. “They are looking for penthouses in the sky,” he said. “That is what they are used to, and for two of them, security is important.”
good eye, Robert. I would have never looked at an article with such a title for news regarding a skyscraper! Hopefully we’ll get some proper renderings when that sales office opens.
Thanks, Hudson!
Good to see that this will poke above the supertall line… although nowadays we need a “supertall and a half” to make a mark on the skyline…
This is great news!
So, this could easily exceed 1,100’ imo. It’s is amazing to think we are getting 3 additional supertall towers in lower Manhattan and that is not including tower 2 and 3 at the WTC site. The skyline is growing fellas!!! Cheers.
Finally!
Looks nice! Quite a resemblance to the funky futuristic style render we’ve previously seen but toned down to form a much sleaker tower, compared with 4wtc I’d say this is 1,100ft?
Love the floating blocks joined in the middle by the vertical lines of the core. It’s as though the architect has taken design aspects from 432 and placed them in a different form, I like! Good work
I also hope the lit crown is present in the final product.
Where did you find it?
It appears to be the design we’ve been seeing but from a different angle. This is from the east.
It seems to be around 1,100’
It does appear slightly different as there’s no real defined ‘floating’ box on top and it’s also lacking a spire, perhaps it’s like 220CP, the current design is a more refined version of what we’ve previously seen.
The mysterious skyscraper, due to rise nearly 1,000 feet over Lower Manhattan, got new backers
I really like that! Appears to be almost raw concrete for the core (?) Contrasting against the curvaceous glass, very nice!
Nice!!!
I like how the crown lights up at night!
Nice find RW!
I agree, the crown will light up nicely.
The newer look is looking a lot nicer than the spire version. #relieved
It is a relief. What I love the most is probably the crown. Another example of the neo art deco trend going on in New York
