The Brooklyn Tower penthouse is listed for $2,500 price/sqft. The penthouse of Central Park Tower is listed for $26,000 price/sqft. So actually a little bit more than 10 times.
Still looks amazing in Brooklyn and will be an icon forever but I would have preferred to see Billionaire’s Row more complete at this point. It shows you how much waste there is in NYC zoning laws that we can afford to construct a supertall on a site which is only 1/10 as valuable as other available sites.

I did not know the building had condos: at about the 53rd floor it changes from rental to condo.

I’m fairly surprised by how many people did not know this was a condo and apartment building considering that the larger and more upscale highrises around the city are almost always exclusively all condo or majority condo with some apartments. There’s not really anything about this tower that suggested it was just apartments.
That is 100% not how zoning works at all, this statement actually doesn’t make any sense.
