lovely photo, and that bird flew over just in time to add a flare to the composition. The ‘bird’ is huge: the wingspan leads me to believe it is a hawk.

Thanks. I remember seeing the bird, it was pretty big.

Is this close to topping out?

ha, found this video rendering. I wouldn’t mind it being this tall.

Conveniently ignoring 1 Vandy lol.

I hope that the sioped roof is still part of the plan. I also hope that rats at Bella Napoli and the filthy deli next door chew wires and start a fire that will result in those dirty eyesores coming down — kind of like the fire at HFZ’s site on 29th.

Is there reason to believe the sloped roof has been taken out of the design?

If it were really that height as in the rendering it would be a supertall.

Some later renderings suggest a flat top, but it’s hard to tell.

This building is right behind my office building, i see the construction from my window, sometimes I’m in awe how im surrounded by so much growth with one vandy down the block, and my new gym being at hudson yards. Ugh im obsessed haha

Perhaps I missed it, but I don’t remember having seen this rendering featured in today’s Curbed article.

I hope that the top looks like that.

this crown is beautiful, I prefer this over a flat top any day.

Is there any reason to believe it won’t? You mentioned above that some later renderings showed a flat roof, but besides an early massing rendering (by City Reality not Handel IIRC), every single rendering I’ve seen has had some form of sloped roof. What did I miss?

the rendering video was made using old footage of NYC, you can see in the background a few buildings missing, only one57 can be seen on billionaires row
