The Titanic itself was supposed to dock at Pier 59 several piers to the north, Pier 54 is just where the Carpathia dropped off the survivors.

The Cunard/White Star Line terminal building was a beautiful building that stretched several piers/docks.

This pier still existed on my first trip to New York, and I think it’s a shame that it no longer exists.

Yes, the Cunard steamer R.M.S. Lusitania sailed from this pier for the last time on May 1, 1915.

yeah its nice if you go when it’s not crowded, sucks it’s on the west side tho bc the views are of JC. no shade

The light on the West Side is better :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

These pictures are from Spring 2023 but the park is pretty nice. I can imagine the vibes during the summer being pleasant.
