^^Belieive it or not, that was the Lusitania in the top b&w photo of the old pier 54. (Mauretania had bigger “cowl” vents) That was the pier Lusitania departed when she was torpedoed during WW1. Glad they at least kept the pier archway.
Anyways, the redeveloped park is a masterpiece from below, reminds me of the old moorish ceilings in a palace. can’t wait for this to be finished!
