The beauty of this building is best appreciated from the curbside view: then one can see the texture of the stone, curvature of the window frames, and other fine architectural details. I see from the above photo that viewing this building from afar one would be pleasantly surprised once they art standing up close: it looks a bit plane, dark, and generic in this photo. Simply stated; this is an âartistic lookingâ building.

I see the beauty of those dark, rusticated surfaces; with the backdrop of the lovely large arched window. That is âcrazyâ all right - crazy beautiful. OH, that night view of the city looking uptown: amazing. I will try to make that photo my screen saver on my desktop computer.

Tall, dark and handsome: what more can one say. In my opinion the Architectural aesthetics on this building rates âbestâ on my good/better/best scale of Architectural excellence.
I say âaestheticsâ because there are a multitude of other âfunctionalâ architectural aspects relevant to evaluating the merits of this building: there is more to good design than âgood looksâ.
Here, or on any forum, one can not begin to assess any of the many other facets of good ARCHITECTURE: floor plans, light/views, ceiling heights, interior fittings & finishes, room proportions, HVAC functional efficiency, window type/sizes, and much more.
That being said, may superficial assessment in the âbeautyâ category is - âBESTâ architectural design.
