As an Angeleno, most of our sports venues have zero mass transit access. Dodger Stadium, the Rose Bowl, SoFi and Intuit — these are traffic nightmares. LAFC’s stadium, by contrast, is served merely by our dinky E Line light rail and traffic for those games is barely noticeable.
Etihad will have a subway station and commuter rail next door. If it’s going to generate an unacceptable amount of traffic, we might as well stop building sports venues altogether.
