I think this one is done.
This one? Which one? Literally none of the tower have even been built, even One PENN is still under renovation.
Only 3 or so of the new towers are proposed by Vornado, not the entire complex. If Gov Hochul is elected (and I really hope she is for the sake of this development and others) for a full term, she wonât let the complex stall.
What if Gov Hochul were to lose?
I havenât heard Zeldinâs stance on real estate development, but I hope itâs as good as Hochulâs (in the event heâs elected)⌠@007
Whether Hochul wins or Zeldin, this project will still move forward regardless.
Also in agreement/addition with what @TKDV said, none of the towers (aside from 2 Penn and 15 Penn) doesnât even have an official design, let alone is under construction.
I canât stand the Hooch. Sheâs an inexperienced moron whoâs soft on crime, but I hope that she wins because Zeldin will try to kill this project and congestion pricing which are both important to NYC.
Edited the above photo by wyliepoon to show Penn 15:
and very rough block models of the other sites of the ESC:
Nice. I canât wait for these towers to go up.
Though isnât the site in front of Penn 15 supposed to be bigger than it?
Itâs just the perspective as the 1300â Site 2 concept tower is two blocks further away. I realise I did slip up though as I havenât updated my 15 Penn model from its 1270â height to its latest 1200â height here.
Do not forget . . . . Phase 2 of Hudson Yards and the Bus Terminal towers.
The West Side will have 20-30 supertalls soon.
There will be other sites that pop up, as well.
Who forgot though, none of those developments would be visible in @ThreeWentDownâs render edit, not even Hudson Yards Phase II, being blocked by all of Phase I and The Spiral.
20-30 supertalls is a stretch though, only 4 supertalls are there now (30 Hudson yards, The Spiral, 35 Hudson yards, and One Manhattan West)
Only 5 or so towers out of 10 from the ESC may be supertalls and 2-3 of the 4 PABT tower proposals. And then theres 3 Hudson Blvd. Thatâs only 11 with the possibility and 15 overall if built to that height. There arenât any other planned supertalls in the Hudson Yards area, theyâre all under 300m for the majority.
3 of the 4 towers at the bus terminal have 2 million square feet.
Iâd say weâll get 3-4 at least from Empire Station. + 15 Penn.
2-3 from HY Phase 2.
A few other sites will pop up. 360 10th comes to mind.
Add that to the extant stock and thatâs 14 on the low end.
That may be (with the PABT), but sqft-age does not equate to height (IE: 50 Hudson Yards which has 2.9 GSF and is 981â tall, One Vanderbilt has 1.7 GSF and is 1401â)
I have no difference with the ESC possibility.
As for Hudson Yards, only the commercial tower in Phase II ever had the possibility of being a supertall, and now that plans have changed for it (should the gaming license go through), that is up in the air as to how tall it could end up, hotel floors as much smaller in height than office floors.
And yes, 360 10th Ave is a possibility still, but thats still around 15 built/proposed on the high end, not the low.
Donât forget about Silversteinâs ABC campus, either, which could see the tallest towers in the civilized world.
Thats not the (midtown) west side anymore, thats the UWS. If youâre just going by the west side of manhattan than One WTC and several others would be included too but the conversation was about Midtown West.
I also highly doubt that the ABC proposal towers will be taller than the Burj Khalifa either.
That still doesnât affect the truth that it exists, by that logic a number of asian based skyscrapers would be erased/forgone as well.
The tallest ABC campus tower is still âonlyâ projected at 1600", still shorter than One WTCâs spire.
NOICE!!
