A temporary construction platform seems to have been built on the north side of the building.
The lights on one of the mechanical levels is also visible.

They must have decided it was easier than moving the BMU down 50+ floors every day, especially if they were bringing down pieces of cladding with them for the missing spots below. It can take hours to do a controlled descent that far.
