That blue plastic protective film on the glass now gets my attention at this point. The odd patchwork approach they are taking to removing that blue plastic film is puzzeling. The things that I notice in these photos run the gamut from great and small, profound and trivial, from what is good to that which is bad. YIMBY is a must see site: welcome back - Kraig.

I have heard that they are having a hard time peeling off the protective film because the sun sort of baked it on to the glass.

Thank you. I have had no solid evidence other than random observations around town seeing that same type of blue film taken off the glass in an odd patch work - here and there - type of removal process. The cost of getting the rigging up to and working would necessitate removing all the film in one pass: so I had reason to believe that there was some removal complication. I thought it was a fairly good inference on my part; and your report has confirmed my suspicions. It will be interesting to see what the removal solution will be; I am thinking it may require paint stripping chemicals - messy, expensive, toxic, and time consuming.
