NEW YORK | Central Park Tower (217 W 57th St) | 1,550 FT | 98 FLOORS

A worker got it a while ago. I bet it probably spread to a bunch of workers or something. No other reason theyd only close the one site

I think this is beneficial for for two reasons -
A) It’s not selling well and this gives time to renegotiate loans and also possibly get government support, and
B) They can look into an insurance claim due to the virus situation.

Yeah. I’d bet anything this is some sort of financial play more than a health concern

Good points. When one sees an inconsistency or otherwise odd occurrence of this sort: it is often an indication there is some ulterior motive quite different than what is being ‘publicly’ stated. The trillion dollar emergency bail out funds approved today has an allocation for business’s that have been shut down by the Covid19 virus; a full stop of work on the site would be prerequisite for tapping into such emergency relief funds. The currently weak sales figures for those luxury residential units is also a ‘convenient’ reason to put a pause on this development.

Full Screen to get an appreciation of how big CPT is and the rest of the 57th Street super talls.

I can understand why people do not like this building. From certain angles it looks like a big box… mostly from Port Imperial. But I finally received my CPT model and after observing it’s shape there’s more to the shape of the skyscraper. The setbacks form this invisible curve that stretches as it gets taller. Here are the best angles of the tower showing what I just explained

Where did you get this model? I’m imagining how awesome it might look with the right paint job

I modeled it myself! Using the documents from the city. Me and my business partner will be selling singular building models soon. Just skylines right now

Amazing. I love that Lower Manhattan model. That would be perfect for any collection. Bookmarking this link. There is a 98% chance I might buy that Lower Manhattan model.

You guys going to do one of Midtown? I’m sure it would be more but hell, for the effort, worth the money I think.

We do plan on extending into Midtown. I already sent him my NYC buildings to add. If you want more recent buildings on the Manhattan model you might want to wait, the model on there isn’t up to date yet
