I didn’t realize this would have a steel parapet - I figured concrete all the way up like 432 PA. Do you know why? Concrete work is less than 100 feet from completion then…
When concrete work is done, it’ll be complete at the roof. The steel rises to make the parapet that will hold the glass and bring the tower to 1,550 feet. It’s pretty common, look at 99 Hudson and the W/Element in Philly
A person on SSP thinks the parapet is 50 feet. As you can see on this diagram, the space between the red lines are 50 feet and the green line is the roof. They replied that after I said the roof could be around 1,520 feet. Perhaps a @YIMBY insider can get info on the heights of the roof and the last setback?
Other diagrams showing a shorter parapet than 50 feet
My source said that the crane broke down yesterday, and has confirmed they’re moving up to the second floor of the crown. Could be poured next Friday
He sent me this too, notice the setback floor
How anyone can call this filthy, broken street Billionaires Row with a straight face is unfathomable. Granted, this shot is from 7th, but 57th is not much better. It’s hardly Wilton Crescent in London.

Love the effect going on here. Was is atmospheric? Or mostly done in post?
Yea looking at it I thought forest fire or Beijing
Maybe its a new 420 holiday popping up. 603?
I believe the haze this past weekend originated in Alberta from the wild fires there. We’ve had it from Montana fires before.
Hey guys I’m a long time lurker of Yimby forums from Toronto Canada but I recently visited New York for the first time so I finally have something to add lol here’s a quick photo I took from the Empire State Building!
If you think the haze here is bad you should see it in the actual states. Colorado had one where the haze was so bad the sun was run all day for nearly a week!
