Some extra renderings. I’m disappointed of course, but at least there’s some architectural interest up close and quality of materials looks good too

I guess they will tend to use the Dekalb subway stop for commuting.

Atlantic terminal is more likely, it’s closer and there’s connections to more lines.

I liked this older version of the second phase much better, with a possible illuminated crown.

Do we want to discuss the second phase in a separate thread, or do we continue here? As it is known from the beginning that a second tower is being planned/built here.

These ‘oversized’ windows are what I find to be the perfect size/proportion for the interiors. “Standard” sized windows being a bit too small; and floor-to-ceiling windows being a bit too much for my preference. These are ‘punched windows’ leaving a fair amount of wall space above and between each window: important for art/furniture placement, and window blinds/curtain options.

The MULLION-Less windows are fantastic: this type of unobstructed view-thru experience is optimal for views & daylight.

What this somewhat bland looking final design iteration is lacking in Architectural panache is more than compensated for with these well appointed interiors. The window size/placement, room proportions, ceiling height, fine finishes on walls/ceiling, minimal ‘millwork’ and trim for baseboard & crown moulding - all well executed.

This is a super-smart design in every aspect: Environmentally, Aesthetically, functionally, etc.

Right. I was picturing another location.

I believe you are right - a big downgrade on the design

Wow, so is this a confirmation that Phase 2 of Alloy Block is happening?

Maybe the material are nice…? the rendering is showing some green elements in the facade

NOOOOOO!

this was supposed to be much more iconic…

Dang, I was looking forward to the cylindrical design but this one is alright. The new design does flow better with Phase One. Will be fun to watch this one go up and make its mark in the skyline.

Square New York strikes again

Although I would prefer the cylindrical design, I think this will help fill in that area nicely. Bulk up Brooklyn!

This is literally just the original phase 1 but smaller.

Nvm I just checked the original design again, it was significantly better than this. And taller.
