isn’t that the BMU hatch?
Yeah. The hatch used to be darker than the rest but the panes have been removed
Excellent! God is in the details.

This is a beautiful tower but I sure do miss the 200 feet.
Most likely hvac exhaust, you’ll see a lot more of that during the winter

Anyone know if there’s to be any sort of exterior lighting for this building or is this it? Would’ve been spectacular if the tips glowed based on their color (so white, yellow, and a dim light). Either that or the exterior skeleton would’ve been mindblowing lit up at night! Still a nice addition to the sky, albeit a bit shorter than I think anyone here would’ve preferred vs the original! I’m just glad to see it was built!
Way back before the height cut debacle the diagrid was supposed to be lit red, but that was presumably value engineered out a long time ago.
" “The building changes shape as it ascends, it moves around. The shape,” he says, holding up his hand, “is like this, three fingers pointing into the sky.” Nouvel runs through a presentation on his laptop, showing proposals for the night-time lighting of the building (“it will make it look like it has blood running through the veins of the structure,” he grins) , the extraordinary interiors (“the structure becomes the space, we don’t need interior decorators here,” he grins again) and renderings of the pool and the gallery."

^ WOW! That would’ve really made it stand out from anything else around it at night! I guess without that, I can’t tell if it’ll be lit up at all! Could’ve made for a more vivid tower than just about anything out there! I’m excited to see this tower in person very soon!!! Gonna blow me away!!
