This is an interesting aspect of Architectural Design that gets considerably less coverage on these forum threads: interior design. That is a very ‘artful’ looking widow frame design - and a equally interesting look at the views overlooking upper Manhattan. I will try to add interior design photos to various threads of the ‘completed’ buildings wherever possible.
The 53W53 as a cast Metal Modell by replica buildings
My Modell
Ok, that’s actually sick. If you have anymore please post somewhere!

This tower was a gift to NY.
That the city tried its best to kill. Often times the city is its own worst enemy.
The cross bracing is what makes this building.
Overall I think it’s beautiful but I still think the tri-colored crown is a mistake. Black and gold works, black and silver works, but all three? I admit I haven’t been back to NY to see this so maybe it works better in person, but based on photos alone I’m hoping that some years down the line it will get a new paint job.
Is it just me or does the door for the BMU look like the doors that cover a mall store when they close. Lol
I read a broker comment somewhere that in some cases those large cross-brace beams over the windows was a deal breaker; at those multimillion price points these type of buyers are often not willing to compromise. That article is where I first heard the term ‘artistic looking building’ as the broker said: "however I do commend the developer for making an “Artistic Looking Building”. I guess the point was that a higher sale price for a similar luxury condo could be achieved for properties that do not have ‘obstructed’ picture windows. As the saying goes: you can’t please everyone.
Yeah, that became apparent as soon as those first interior renderings with the beams across the windows surfaced. Aside from a prestigious address, buyers are rarely paying for what’s on the outside.
Absolutely agree. I thought I was the only one!
It’s my only real knock on the building besides the dark rectangular patch on either side of the central peak. That bit drives my OCD nuts.
A gift to the world!
OMG! the cross bracing from the interior is so futuristic and cool! If I were a billionaire!
