I’m assuming you’re referring to the building with the concrete fins? That’s not the Marriot Marquis that’s One Astor Plaza

My mistake!

The big selling point for these apartments is the “river views”. There will be great views of the Hudson River on the “west facing windows” too - looking to the south-west or north-west will have river views.

Yes, that building directly to the west will ‘partially’ obstruct that view - that much is true. :innocent:

Absolutely stunning color.

They added more vertical steel that I think may have reached the top out height, but I cant tell if there is a vertical or horizontal splice at the top, will have to wait to confirm.

Either way, the building doesn’t technically “top out” until the last beam is installed.

From the earth cam.

I didn’t want to go off the earthcams because the imagery is too fuzzy to dictate whether or not there is another splice at the top of the new steel.

The steel was installed a few days ago and I forgot to note it here. I could always just ask the project PM but I like to find out myself.

You beat me to uploading again :eyes: But per your and my images of the new sections of steel, there is still a vertical splice on the top, so it hasn’t quite reached full height yet. But it’s most likely only by a few feet or so.

Lots of terracotta clips being installed all around the podium.

Also if you look closely you can see the TMD in the mix of steel at the top.

Well you got me beat on volume for sure - it’s no contest! Love that last one from the ESB too (or is it the Edge?). Yeah, it must be the Edge.

Yeah all my high up shots are always from Edge, its both unfortunate and fortunate that all the smoke in the atmosphere made the buildings pop out much more than they normally do because the background is hazy.

Highly desirable IMO - I prefer the separation between foreground and background. Smoka-bokeh.

The two vertices beams in the middle seem to be slightly taller than the two outer beams, so correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this tower is topped out. As the splices to connect the two outer beams to the inner ones with horizontal beams will raise their height to be equal.

There was also several fire trucks pulling up with sirens blaring, and a whole army of fireman ran inside
