The new plateau!

I think this specific area of park Ave is the perfect location for these futuristic modern towers.

Would love to see every single ugly 50/60s buildings replaced with more of these.

This view with more of these 21st century towers would be perfect for futuristic movies.

Does Anyone remember the timeline for this building?

Grand Hyatt is open until 2022, so that will be complete by ‘26, 270 should be complete by ‘24

It just seems so far away, but I can’t wait for the new peak, and the inevitable megatall

Our new plateau is really starting to fill in with 350 as one of the centerpieces (Hyatt is made up design in this rendering):

It would be nice if KPMG moves to 350.

If they do, I believe that the truly heinous 345 Park will be largely empty. Maybe Rudin will raze it.

it fact, it used to be a plateau…

but now it is one of the many awe inspiring summits of the great Manna-hata

Whenever I see people showing disdain for the new breed of “pencil buildings,” I imagine the grumps in the late 1920s hating on the development of Lower Manhattan. Obviously, those towers had some more architectural flair, but the new ones are amazingly exciting in their scale, and you’ll just have to learn to like their style. I have.

It will be incredibly disappointing if this spectacular tower is not built. What’s presently there is atrocious. What’s been shown is as enticing as a threesome with Salma Hayek and Charlize Theron (collectively, the “new tower”) to a guy dating Roseanne Barr (the “present tower”).

”End of '23. And so that’s the earliest that we could begin to take the building down. And so new delivery wouldn’t be until '27 or '28. And so it’s a significant opportunity, but it’s going to take some time in order to bring it to fruition, both in terms of lining up tenancies and then executing on it. So I think if we had the building today could we command a rent to achieve yield necessarily to develop? The answer is we think quite possibly. To build a brand new building that’s perfect in that location we think today would command rents that would make that work.”

I could live with starting demo in 3 years. Hopefully, KPMG is lined up as a tenant.

Probably selfish of me but I’m just glad the interesting part faces Queens.

There is still no rendering of what the flat side of this tower looks like?

Knowing Foster I can already image it, grey boxes with few setbacks and rows of glass from top to bottom. I really hate how the best sides of this tower and the one Foster designed by MSG are facing away from Jersey

This is at least 7 years away. I think the design will change
