is it topped out??
I’m not sure if it’s topped out. There may be a bulkhead/penthouse structure on the roof that hasn’t yet been installed.
From your previous update before the last you can see a very small portion of the bulkhead peaking out, but it’s there.
Relative to the “main” render that’s always shown for this, it seems to have gotten maybe 4-5 stories taller, but that could be because of the angle of the render that some floor were not visible at the top. Regardless, the design has deviated from whatever the render depicts for the top of the building.
Strangely enough, this has even deviated from the most recently updated zoning diagram from only 2 months ago.
anyone know whats being built on the left side of the last pic?
It’s a Vornado controlled development site (corner of 8th and 34th). Been part of their Penn District plans forever. IIRC, slated for a residential building, but with seemingly everything around Penn station stalled (Empire Station? Penn15?), who knows what it will be. not sure there has ever been a thread about it or even a rendering.
