The real disgusting garbage are the post-war towers in the area. At least these lowrises are unassuming but the streetscape is lively. The towers invariably have a bank, a Duane Reade, a flash in the pan restaurant, etc.

I agree. Sadly, though, they’re not coming down for a long time if at all. I think they’re all coops.

Naftali bought a ton of dilapidated crap and one of his stunning towers will rise there.
