YIMBY has a great new article on this.
Meridian Capital Group announced today that its Institutional Investment Sales Group, led by Helen Hwang, has been hired to market an outstanding Upper East Side development site at 1299 Third Avenue, located between East 74th and East 75th Streets. The shovel-ready site is being offered with completed plans that contemplate a 31-story, mixed-use tower totaling 143,000 gross square feet.
Designed by an internationally-acclaimed architect, 1299 Third Avenue will be a timeless residential tower with 47 classic residences that will uniquely cater to families, which account for over half of the Upper East Side’s condo demand.
This might be part of the same project.
I think there are towers planned for either end of the block, because there are appear to be two assemblages with two different ownership groups.
Although approved, one “expert” blasts this UES project for being… illegal.
This looks like a small version of The Sutton lol.
I’m happy to see junk come down…too bad they’re building the junk higher now.
That white Terracotta Facade is ‘special’ - nice work.
With interiors done by Rafael De Cardenas. I saw this photo on the designers website; posting mostly for the view of the Chrysler building. However, this is picture is clearly a different location.
