I would be interested to know if they have started installing the façade elements at 656 Lexington Ave.

Interesting update Alemel, could it be that 656 Lexington Ave. hasn’t had another floor added since the last update?

I think this one is ok, but I think it wouldve been more successful if it used the same module dimension (whether that was a perfect square or not) throughout the massing.

The raw concrete facade is beginning to develop a more attractive patina over time.

The mottled texture, and color variations are more subtle; looking now like more artful “architectural concrete” .

Some of the earlier photos looked very blotchy, dark and uneven. Maybe that was all due to various construction related liquids, or just wet…

That psylock photo on the above right shows this much better looking surface feature quite nicely…

Could it be that construction has been halted at 656 Madison Ave. This could explain why it was covered with black tarp.

The black tarp was put up when scaffolding was put up to start preparing the building for the cladding, it’s not an indicator of a building being put on hold.

That building is just on hold in general, the lack of progress is the indicator of that.

Did you post this in the wrong thread?

Is this the same project or are they different?

656 Lexington Avenue is a separate project and has nothing in common with these. Since this project can be seen in the background, this article was posted here.
