How long should I wait to visit the city again? A year? I want to see these supertalls in full swing, aka showing themselves on the skyline.
I’d give it a year and a half, probably autumn 2017 if you are to see most of these towers topped out, maybe 2 years for Nordstrom?
It will be an exciting time! I wish I had the opportunity to visit more often, but sadly I will have to wait for that to happen, where abouts are yoy from Wiggleworth?
Do we know whether the crown is designed to house any antennae or other broadcast equipment?
I have to think JDS will be very tempted to bring on some broadcast tenants considering the top 200+ feet of space are purely mechanical, and I just want to be sure we’re going to avoid a One57 situation (for those that haven’t looked recently, the antenna array they’ve attached to the roof is just atrocious)

In my opinion in the next 50 years these will be the Chrysler and Empire state buildings of 21st century architecture in NYC if you see what I mean. Instant icons

Well that’s a whole new way of lighting for New York and architecture as a whole! This really will be a world class gem, an icon. This will be unlike anything else in the city, New York does class and futuristic like no other.
