FAA APPROVES 700 FOOT TOWERS AT FORMER ADIOS BUILDING IN PARK WEST, AND ANOTHER TOWER AT FORMER HEART NIGHTCLUB
A Park West building that once had the word Adios painted on its facade could soon be replaced by a very tall tower. The same could happen to an adjacent property that once housed Heart nightclub
Yesterday (October 15), the Federal Aviation Administration issued a ruling approving a 699 foot tower to be built on the Adios property, and a 700-foot tower on the Heart property.[/COLOR]
A building of that height would match the tallest in the area. Both the newly completed Paramount Miami Worldcenter nearby and Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum match the same height identically.
Review of the Adios proposal by the FAA took around nine months, with the application first submitted in January 2019. The Heart application was approved in a month.
Los Angeles-based Chiron Investments purchased the Adios property last year from Miami Worldcenter’s developer for $16.5 million. Residential, office and hotel uses are allowed, but must meet criteria set by Worldcenter.
An interior demolition permit was applied for last year, but the process was never completed. The building is now being offered for lease as retail build to suit.
The Heart nightclub building is also listed for lease.
