Well it is, especially considering the city with most right now is Dubai at 26 (including UC)
Not to mention Kuala Lumpar might be catching up a bit as well.
But still NYC might look unrecognizable eventually, and even the ESB may not be in the top 20
Sad because I start to imagine NYC past my lifetimeā¦. 100 years from nowā¦. god knows how itāll be. I imagine the entire metropolitan area with megatalls.
Iāve got Kuala Lumpur at 13 (including UC and proposed)
Geez, 13?! I didnāt even know it was that much. Imagine that number of supertalls built there
Well they already have quite a few there.
I think I know a few on top of my head so far. M tower (proposed), Merdeka 118, Petronas Towers, The Exchange 106, and the Avenger-looking tower.
Ah okay, thanks for the diagram of them. Also, I thought Tower M was proposed/soon to be under construction because of the mall being built that is part of the complex.
So that means Merdeka 118 may be the tallest one for a while then
āPreparation works on the foundation is currently underway, but the tower will not start to be built in a short time, as KLCC Holdings is not a speculative developer, it will only build the tower upon pre-securing leases for the whole building. In view of the current market speculation, it is estimated that the tower will not be built earlier than 2030.ā
Technically it could be built, but I donāt see it happening. For the size of their buildings, the city is tiny. Their metro is about the same size pop wise as Dallas. (Though admittedly, far better designed and more condensed).
Oh darn. So technically if it comes to fruition we may have to wait at least 8 years for this to rise. Well, at least the foundation may be underway.
Speaking of megatall, NYC is begging for at least one of them.
Where could one come?
Keep in mind that my 45 + supertalls for NYC 2035 doesnāt include any newly proposed ones beyond this point, except for certain developments like Midtown East, Penn Station, PABT etc.
If a random one were to be proposed somewhere like times square in 2027, that wasnāt included in that number. Itās probably over 50 by 2035.
Iām beginning to think that NYC might be the only city globally to have the most supertalls by 2035
Donāt forget 262 Fifth. Thatās a big project that sometimes goes under the radar. I donāt like it honestly, but it will be pretty big on the skyline.
I can run them all out if you need me too.
Like I can give a full list
Yes thatās perfect. Thanks
