I believe these are under construction in Taipei. When completed the taller one (at 369 M / 1,211 ft) will be the second tallest in Taiwan. Second only to the beautiful Taipei 101 at 508 M / 1,667 ft. While the smaller one will be 4th tallest upon completion.
This is a possible future US top ten. 8 are in NYC, 2 are in Chicago.
I see a possible future, if including future developments like Penn Station area and PABT redevelopment, of NYC with all of the top ten tallest buildings in the US.
Considering that Willis would be at 6th place in this ranking, NYC would need 4 buildings taller than 1,451 ft. A feat I consider not only possible but probable for NYC.
(Also who knows maybe 350 Park will increase in height slightly just to beat out Willis. That’d be interestin)
I’m glad that you use “possible” as your describing word for a future lineup (as it regards to pushing out Chicago), because as it stands, while there is no height cap in the ESC, none of the buildings are being projected as being taller than 1300’. So that would leave 2 of the PABT buildings to possibly push the Willis Tower out of it’s place, but otherwise there are no “known” proposals that are pushing 1450’ atm (outside of the ones you’ve included in the diagram lineup). But more can come in the future as you say and/or heights can change.
Yeah I know. It’s just interesting that it’s a possibility. Doesn’t necessarily have to come out of the Penn Station or PABT. Might not happen at all, but it’s interesting
I’ve been trying to find lists from 2018 or 2019 showing the Comcast Technology Center’s rank in height with the rest of the US buildings when it was just completed. An article I saw earlier stated it was among the top 10 tallest in the USA when it was done, now it’s the 14th tallest in the country
