Keeping up with NYC rivals.

Dubai -
Projects ongoing rn in the top ten include Ciel Tower which will be at number 7 when completed at 365.5 M / 1,199 ft tall (will also be world’s tallest hotel). And City Tower 1, which will sit at number 9 when completed at 358 M / 1,175 ft.
(tell me if I missed some projects. No the Burj Bingatti was not missed, it’s a proposal at this point and doesn’t even have a confirmed height)

Shenzhen -
Projects ongoing rn in the top ten include “Super Loop” at 394 M / 1,292 ft which will sit at number 3. China Merchants Bank HQ at 393 M / 1,289 ft which will be number 4. Citimark Financial Center at 388.3 M / 1,274 ft which will be number 6. Luohu Friendship Trading Center at 379.9 M / 1,246 ft which will be number 9.

As for NYC’s top ten, the only change up right now is 270 Park Avenue which will be in 6th place at 1,388 ft / 423 M. Though the top ten is expected to get a lot taller in the coming years.

I was gonna do the top ten tallest in the Americas but really thatÂŽs the same as the top ten in the US and only includes Chicago and New York City. So hereÂŽs the potential future top ten proposed in the Americas.

  1. Triumph Tower. BalneĂĄrio CamboriĂș, Santa Catarina, Brazil. 544 M / 1,785 ft.

  2. One World Trade Center. New York City, New York, The United States. 541 M / 1,776 ft

  3. Affirmation Tower. New York City, New York, The United States. 507 M / 1,663 ft

  4. 175 Park Avenue. New York City, New York, The United States. 477 M / 1,575 ft

  5. Tower FIfth. New York City, New York, The United States. 474 M / 1,556 ft

  6. Central Park Tower. New York City, New York, The United States. 472 M / 1,550 ft

  7. Torre Rise. Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. 455 M / 1,491 ft.

  8. Willis / Sears Tower. Chicago, Illinois, The United States. 442 M / 1,451 ft

  9. 111 West 57th Street. New York City, New York, The United States. 435 M / 1,432 ft

  10. Tribune Tower East. Chicago, Illinois, The United States. 433 M / 1,422 ft

(I debated adding number 10 since it seems unlikely to happen, even though they went through the approvals process)

If number 10 didn’t happen then it would be

  1. One Vanderbilt. New York City, New York, The United States. 427 M / 1,401 ft
