A user on the JC Reddit posted about a week ago pictures of one of the units in Tower 1 and ,admittedly, the interiors are quite uninspired and cheap-looking for such an emblematic building in JSQ. I’m aware that developers will always take shortcuts on rental buildings and it’s never worth it to them to splurge on finishes as there will always be a rotation of residents who can superficially customize to their liking but still, they could’ve at least added the tiniest bit of flair to the overall design.
I saw that as well. Not surprised at all honestly. All the value engineering done on the outside was bound to be reflected on the interior as well. I am just hoping the public plaza will at least look okay.
Blegh!
Twenty lashes with a wet noodle!
This is the part I’m most interested in. Curious to see how the pedestrian experience is improved here.
JFK Blvd is in desperate need of bike and bus lanes but it’s a county road so JC can’t do anything to it without county approval. That being said, I’ve spoken to the county planning team who are completely on board with improvements.
I’ve been wondering if this project included any upgrades funded by the developer
First I’ve heard the county is onboard with improvements. They could’ve made improvements yesterday if they were really onboard. Last time they proposed upgrades just a couple years ago, they completely left out any sort of bus lanes, pedestrian improvements, or bike lanes. I suspect they’re pulling your leg.
